Honest letter to future myself turning 29.

April 12 2021. Last night before you turn 29 you told yourself that you wanted to make a life bookmark that you could look back on. You said it can be hard to appreciate progress without reference points. And then you turned 29.

You woke up in your little apartment with your beautiful girlfriend, and you genuinely love her man. She left early to work on your birthday present, so you decided to go for a run. You haven’t worked out much since you hurt your shoulder building your cabin driveway, but you’re still in decent shape. You’re worried your hair is thinning but you can’t tell if it’s just in your head. And you laughed when you wrote that line. You shaved last night to start fresh for year 29. You ran through the neighborhoods in your little town pass the hay field you were reminded how important exercise is for your physical and mental health. You know this fact yet you still struggled to prioritize it above work. You’re getting better though.

But you’re in debt.

So work everything in your life. But you do stand behind what you sell and you’re proud of your designs. You’ve always loved designing. You worry the pressure of making money might affect your creativity but you trust yourself. And you know it’s just a…
